Did you witness assault on schoolboy?

POLICE are appealing for the public's help to catch a man who assaulted a schoolboy in Maidstone. The unprovoked attack left the 15-year-old with a cut lip and bruising and grazing to his head.

The assault happened at the Western Road junction with Tonbridge Road on March 14 at about 4pm. Officers have followed up several lines of inquiry but so far have been unable to track down the attacker.

The teenager was attacked as he walked home from school with two friends. He was approached by a group of four teenagers and one of them punched and kicked him for no reason.

The offender and his friends ran off towards Maidstone town centre. All four were white males in their late teens. The main offender was wearing dark tracksuit type trousers with a blue jacket and a navy baseball cap.

Anyone who witnessed the attack can contact PC Stuart Somerville on 01622 608182 or the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
