Two due at Medway Magistrates’ Court after being charged with various counts of burglary including 11 offences at Kent shops

A pair of suspected burglars are to appear in court having been charged with various counts of burglary including offences at shops throughout Kent.

Bradley Pogmore, of Dagenham, and Kelly Hart, of Chelmsford, were arrested yesterday and they both were remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Pogmore, 39, of Foxlands Road, Dagenham was charged with 45 counts of alleged burglary which include 11 offences at shops in Maidstone, Aylesford, Gillingham, Sevenoaks, Broadstairs and Tunbridge Wells during a seven-month period.

Hart, 43, of New London Road, Chelmsford was charged with 16 suspected burglaries.

Officers from the Chief Constable’s crime squad had been investigating reports where cash tills had been forced open and their contents reportedly stolen.

A police spokesman said: “On Wednesday, a man was arrested in a car driven by a woman in Dagenham, Greater London.

"The woman was also detained and two mobile phones were seized."

All the incidents happened at stores across seven different areas including Essex, Hertfordshire, Sussex, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and London - as well as in Kent - between September 9 and last Friday.
