Two lanes on the M20 coast-bound carriageway that were earlier blocked due to an accident have now been cleared.

The accident involving a lorry and a car occurred at 10.18am on the M20 near to Junction 5.

Fortunately there were no injuries.

Drivers are warned to expect delays.

Narrow lanes and speed restriction of 50mph are currently in place between Junction 3 for the M26 and Junction 5 to enable works to transform the M20 into a smart motorway.

The project began in July.
