Pictures show the place surrounded by police cars, officers, a forensic unit van and a tent, with the cafe taped off - but it’s all part of the set.

There are also several cameras and lighting rigs, as well as a replica TV news truck.

One bag left on the floor, with cables running through it, has the Universal logo on it.

The cafe has been closed from today while the filming takes place.

They hope to reopen the new-look diner on November 1.

The Kent Film Office says it does not have any information about the filming.
