Fire crews called to car fire near Maidstone

Fire fighters were called to a car fire in Weavering at 12:49pm today.

A small fire had started in the engine compartment of a vehicle due to an electrical fault.

One fire engine attended the scene near the Vinters Park crematorium on Bearstead Road.

Crews tackled the fire within minutes of their arrival, leaving the scene at around 1:05pm.
