Fire crews called to house fire in Ulcombe near Maidstone

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a home yesterday.

Four fire engines attended the property in Eastwood Road in Ulcombe at around 3pm.

Kent Fire and Rescue say the address was well alight on arrival.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used main jets, compressed air foam and water from a local hydrant to extinguish the blaze.

No casualties were reported, and the cause has not yet been confirmed.

The fire was doused by around 4pm.
