Bearsted and Grove Green brace for delays

Residents and motorists in the Bearsted area can expect some disruption in the coming weeks thanks to road closures.

Pilgrims Way in Thurnham will be closed to through traffic from Monday, June 24, for up to five days to enable South East Water instal a new water main.

Otham Lane in Bearsted will be closed to through traffic, on Monday, July 1, for up to five days.

The road will be closed at the junction with A20 Ashford Road while KCC carries out carriageway patching works.

Finally, and biggest of all, Grovewood Drive South in Grove Green will be closed from Monday, July 1, for up to seven weeks.

The road will be closed at the junction with New Cut Road to enable the construction of a new roundabout, islands and associated works to be carried out by Gallagher Ltd.

All access to Grove Green will be via Grovewood Drive North.
