Police are investigating the theft of cash and alcohol from a floating restaurant.

Officers were called at 11.09am to reports Embankments Bar and Restaurant on the River Medway near Archbishop's Palace had been burgled.

A quantity of cash from the till and bottles of prosecco had been stolen overnight.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "At present no arrests have been made however enquiries into this are ongoing."

It is believed part of the till were recovered a short distance away near College Avenue but the money remains missing.
