'I am honoured to stand again as your Conservative candidate for Maidstone and The Weald at the General Election.

If re-elected, I will resolutely support our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to get Brexit done and to unleash the potential of our great country. I will also work tirelessly to help our community to grasp the opportunities that Brexit presents.

Furthermore, I will support a Conservative Government to deliver our ambitious domestic agenda which includes: protecting our environment, investing in our NHS and boosting rural infrastructure.

I am proud of what we have achieved since I was first elected in 2010 including: pressing our local NHS to reduce cancer waiting times, helping secure more funding for our schools (such as the new Benenden Primary) and recruiting more police officers for Maidstone town centre locations.

With your support, I will continue to work wholeheartedly for the issues that matter to our community.'

We have deadly air quality in Maidstone, ridiculous housing proposals on green spaces around the borough, a completely lax attitude towards the climate emergency and continued increase in inequalities that both Conservatives and Lib Dems have presided over, it is time for a fresh approach to tackle the most pressing issues of our time.

I will also be campaigning for a second referendum. No one voted for a no deal Brexit or a return to the troubles in Northern Ireland. We are all far better informed than we were 3 years ago so it is time for a final say on what happens.

Successive governments have shown a complete lack of interest in the environmental crisis that is unfolding around us. There is very little time to act, our house is on fire right now. The environment and the needs of future generations must be at the centre of politics.

"I was brought up in Marden and have also lived in Fant, so I understand the need to balance providing sufficient good-quality affordable and social housing with preventing predatory developers from swallowing up huge swathes of our Wealden countryside.

And I believe our area deserves better than the cuts sustained by our public services, in particular cuts to policing which have contributed to a rise in violent crime in our County Town.

Since Labour finished in second place here at the 2017 General Election, the responsibility to oppose destructive Conservative policy in this constituency is mine.

As a trades unionist I can't sit by while a government led by a Prime Minister who, as a matter of record, feels nothing but contempt for working class people, is re-elected. I hope you feel the same way, and will support me on December 12."

I enjoy working with local residents to boost the County Town. Since being elected to Maidstone B.C. in 2014 beating a Conservative cabinet member, I have a good track record of working with community groups to get results.

Maidstone and the Weald is great place to live, however the issue of traffic congestion and resulting air pollution is most pressing. I will fight for better data connectivity in the Weald and congestion-busting sustainable transport. I fought successfully to save Park and Ride and will continue to campaign for faster rail services - something our current Conservative MP promised yet failed to deliver. This infrastructure is essential to benefit the local economy and regenerate the town centre.

Climate emergency requires urgent action;we need change.

Maidstone and the Weald is a clear choice between the Conservative candidate and a hard-working, locally focused Liberal Democrat campaigner who will fight to stop Brexit and has a work history of assisting residents with their issues.

We are awaiting responses from the remaining candidates.
