The festival will take place over two nights starting from Friday, September 25 with a screening of 'A Star is Born'.

The timeless classic 'Grease' will then air the following night on Saturday, September 26.

The films for the seated event will be shown on a huge, inflatable outdoor screen accompanied by a bar serving drinks and snacks.

Guests can hire deck chairs, giant bean-bags, or bring their own seat before settling down to the film.

Temperature checks will be carried out on arrival and social distancing markings will be placed throughout.

Nightflix Gin Cinema owner John Sullivan says: “Following the incredible demand we’ve seen with our nationwide gin cinema events, we are really looking forward to bringing this experience to a much wider audience.

"We want to treat them to a great night out with their favourite films, top quality drinks and delicious food in a safe and responsible manner.

"With the protective measures we have put in place, and our partnership with Schweppes, we are sure everyone will be able to enjoy their nights with friends, family and partners.”

The company has also opened a drive-in cinema in South Bush Lane, Rainham which is showing films until Wednesday, September 30.

Tickets for the sit down event range from £12.50 to £18 and can be purchased here.

Gates to the Kent Showground will open at 6.30pm.
