Man arrested after knife raid on Wateringbury Post Office

A man has been arrested following a robbery at Wateringbury Post Office.

It is alleged two men entered the building just before 5.50pm yesterday and threatened a member of staff with a knife before leaving with a quantity of cash.

Police swooped on an address early this morning at 4.55am and arrested a 27-year-old Wateringbury man in connection with the offence.

He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.
