Learning to deal with long-term illness

AN OPEN day expanding on courses to help people learn to cope with long-term health problems will be held in the spring.

The event, organised by the Maidstone Weald Primary Care Trust, will take place at Trinity Foyer, in Church Street, Maidstone, on Tuesday, May 17, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

It aims to inform people about expert patient courses and other courses and initiatives organised by the PCT.

The free expert patient programmes, which are run by two voluntary tutors who have long-term health conditions themselves, have helped people learn to manage their conditions. For details telephone 01622 711295.
