The store sells an eclectic collection of clothing, accessories, gifts and homeware.

Little Blue Finch started life as a market stall and now has two prime outlets - the other is in Tonbridge - as well as a successful online store.

The company prides itself on hand-picking every item in the range which results in constantly changing stock to bring fresh ideas to shoppers in Maidstone.

Owner Beth Cooper said: "I've always dreamt of having a busy high street shop, and since opening in Fremlin Walk, it's been so lovely to meet, and feel so welcomed by, the people of Maidstone.

"We've had so many kind comments from our new customers who have shared their joy to have a local independent shop that carries our unique product range. We are equally excited to be here!”

Fremlin Walk centre manager, Lloyd Wright, said: "With the vegan coffee shop Viva Las Vegan only just opened at Fremlin Walk, and now Little Blue Finch, we have shown our commitment to finding quality independent retailers who offer something different and who complement our existing offer.

“By offering a good mix of national and independent retail, we really believe we can continue to attract shoppers from across Kent.”
