Maidstone: John Gallagher, 49, charged with burglary after cash stolen from pensioner's home in Fant Lane

A 49-year-old man has been charged with burglary after cash was stolen from a pensioner's home.

The charge follows an incident in Fant Lane in Maidstone on September 4 where a woman in her 80s reported a quantity of cash missing after a man had called at the house to fix a leak.

Kent Police then released a CCTV image as part of an appeal to identify the suspect.
