A 49-year-old man has been charged with burglary after cash was stolen from a pensioner's home.
The charge follows an incident in Fant Lane in Maidstone on September 4 where a woman in her 80s reported a quantity of cash missing after a man had called at the house to fix a leak.
Kent Police then released a CCTV image as part of an appeal to identify the suspect.
John Gallagher, from Pudding Lane, was arrested on Tuesday, December 4 and charged with one count of burglary shortly after.
He was remanded by Medway Magistrates’ Court the following day to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
