Aylesford man charged after stabbing in Mill Lane, Maidstone

An Aylesford resident has been charged after a man was stabbed in Maidstone.

Police were called at 11.30am on Monday after reports that a man in his thirties had been assaulted in Mill Lane, near its junction with James Whatman Way.

The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A man and woman were later arrested in the Shooter’s Hill area of London on suspicion of assault and were taken into custody.

David Abraham, 19, of Ingram Close, Aylesford was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a bladed weapon in a public place.

He was remanded in custody and appears at Medway Magistrates' Court today.

A 19-year-old woman from Maidstone was later bailed to return to the police station on 16 December.
