Man charged with three attempts at cash machine thefts

A 49-year-old man has been charged with burglary after three attempted cash machine thefts.

Nelson Walter Hilden, of Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, Maidstone, was arrested yesterday and is due to appear before Maidstone Magistrates court today after the incidents during the early hours of Friday, December 12, in Lyminge, Wye and Lenham.

Full charges include three counts of burglary, one count of criminal damage, one count of theft from a vehicle and two charges of aggravated vehicle taking, one charge of disqualified driving and one charge of no insurance.

Officers continue to appeal for information about the incidents.
