This is the moment a topless man is arrested after a “disturbance” broke out in a town centre.
Footage circulating on social media shows two officers detaining a man with the assistance of a police dog in St Faith’s Street, Maidstone.
In the short clip a shirtless man can be seen grappling with a male police officer, near a town centre nail salon and hair studio, before the pair fall to the ground.
Two more officers then come to assist as he is arrested.
It comes after police were called to Week Street in Maidstone shortly before 7.15pm on Saturday (April 12) to reports of “a disturbance” involving a group of people.
There are unconfirmed reports a suspect physically struck a woman and was then “descended upon” by a group of others before a “one-on-one” altercation occurred.
A 34-year-old man from Rochester was arrested in St Faith’s Street on suspicion of affray and being drunk and disorderly.
The following day, police say they also arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of affray.
Both have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
