Make A Child Smile campaign collects presents for needy

A fundraising mum is looking for help to give families in need a boost this Christmas.

Emma Reed set up Make a Child Smile last Christmas, gathering more than 600 donated gifts for disadvantaged children.

She also collected donations for those affected by the Manchester Arena terror attack earlier this year.

The Boughton Monchelsea resident is asking people to donate shopping vouchers this year for children and victims of domestic violence who may otherwise have nothing this holiday season.

She said: “Ideally the vouchers will help families to buy Christmas presents, food, treats for the children, and maybe even a Christmas dinner. I’m hoping to collect at least 50 vouchers so I can help 50 families.”

To donate, contact Emma via email makeachildsmile121@outlook.com or on Facebook.
