S Club star Bradley McIntosh confirms Maidstone 'murder' victim Andre Bent was his cousin

A student who police suspect was murdered after a huge brawl in Maidstone town centre was the cousin of S Club star Bradley McIntosh, the singer's representatives have confirmed.

Andre Bent, 21, was stabbed to death in the High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning, in an attack that has since seen five men arrested.

Four of those were charged with violent disorder and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday, where it was confirmed they were friends of rapper MoStack, who had been performing at the Gallery nightclub earlier that evening.

Family members of Mr Bent, a student at London South Bank University, posted emotional tributes to him over the bank holiday weekend.

It was reported that Bradley used a performance at the Sunshine Festival in Worcestershire to call for a minute's silence for his cousin.

On his Twitter page, he has retweeted tributes posted by relatives and will be putting out a statement of his own on social media in the coming days, according to his representatives.

Mourners have left floral tributes at the scene of Mr Bent's death, including one bouquet from staff at The Brenchley pub, located nearby.
