An investigation started after the allegations were reported and officers found a car believed to be linked to the suspect.

Marcin Angiel, 33, of Eaton Place in Larkfield has now been charged with exposure and is due to appear in court today.

It was reported a man approached the victim outside the bus stop in Pudding Lane at 5.25am on Wednesday.

Officers on patrol attended the scene and made inquiries with the victim to locate a car the suspect was said to have fled the scene in.

Yesterday, officers in the town on patrol recognised a description of the vehicle parked in the Romney Place area and waited for the driver to return.

A police spokesman said the force is running a specific campaign aimed at tackling violence against women an girls.

Angiel was arrested and taken into custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
