A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash between two cars on the outskirts of Maidstone.

It happened at about 5.30pm on Saturday in Edmett Way, near the roundabout junction with the A274 in Langley.

Part of the road was closed for several hours while inquiries continued.

Police say a woman was treated for injuries at the scene before being taken to hospital for further medical attention.

Edmett Way forms part of the Langley Park development of homes and leads to the entrance of an Aldi store.
