A neighbour, Alin Carstov, says the flat where the suspected murder took place has been occupied by a man and a woman who moved in roughly two weeks ago.

Police activity today is on the top floor of the three-storey block which has nine flats.

Mr Carstov said of the couple: "I didn't know them well. I had a conversation with the man about work as I'd mentioned my work were hiring but I got the impression he wasn't serious about it. He seemed a bit of a nervous person when I spoke to him."

Other neighbours said they didn't know the couple but were aware of a huge police presence.
