Police gave a telling off to two men who were arguing in the street.
Officers were called out to Camden Street, Maidstone just after 9.40pm on Sunday.
Witnesses saw two men being taken into a police car on the road near Maidstone Prison.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and words of advice were given to those involved."
Neither party wished to make any criminal allegations.
