House fire being investigated as suspicious by Kent Police

A fire which broke out at a house is being treated as suspicious and an investigation has begun.

The fire started about 3am on Wednesday in Murdoch Chase, Coxheath, Maidstone.

Kent Police were called at 3.20am to attend the scene along with the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Luckily no one was injured and crews managed to put out the flames by about 4.25am.

It is thought the fire started deliberately and police are treating the incident as suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing and has included house-to-house inquiries and a forensic examination of the scene.
