A man has been seriously injured following a disturbance which sparked a large police presence.

Officers were called at 10.45am to Cambridge Crescent in Shepway, Maidstone.

Witnesses have reported seeing six police cars in the area, an air ambulance, four ambulances and two paramedic cars.

A police spokesman said: "The South East Coast Ambulance Service are also at the scene where a man has sustained serious injuries.

"Officers remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing."
