Plans to turn a day spa into a children’s nursery are among the latest applications submitted to Maidstone council.
The proposal has been lodged for The Retreat Wellness Centre at 64 London Road.
It has been put forward by Blue Sky Day Nursery and Pre School, which is situated next door and is looking to expand.
The 1,214 sq m site already has parking provision for 13 cars, but five cycle spaces have also been proposed.
If the scheme is approved, 15 full-time jobs will be created.
In Stilebridge Lane, Linton, permission is sought to expand a Gypsy and Traveller site.
The extension at Five Oak Stables would provide two pitches, with two static mobile homes and a day room on each.
Currently, the land is pasture, but occasionally used in the summer as a holiday caravan site.
In Maidstone town centre, a property could be converted into four one-bedroom flats.
Applicant D&E Property Group Ltd has put forward the plans for the offices and storage space at 2 Palace Avenue.
Listed building consent has also been sought for the changes.
In Marden, a new garden studio is planned for 50 Seymour Drive.
The proposal would feature aluminium bifold doors and LED lighting inside.
And in Linton, demolition of an existing store is proposed at 26 Cornwallis Avenue.
The works would make way for a two-storey side extension.
