‘Rolled over truck' shuts Linton Hill near Maidstone in both directions

An overturned lorry has reportedly triggered gridlock on a major route.

Traffic is said to be at a standstill, with vehicles being turned around, following the incident at about 8pm this evening.

Traffic reporting service Inrix states the accident unfolded between Pickering Street and Wheelers Lane, with delays expected in the area.

Meanwhile, the AA reported at 20.30pm this evening that the road is shut due to a "rolled over truck".

The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
