Police have thanked the public for their help in tracing two missing Maidstone teenage girls who have now been found safe and well.

Officers had appealed for information about the location of two girls, aged 13 and 14, who had not been since last night.

But Kent Police have confirmed Sophie Cromarty, 13, and 14-year-old Rachel Covington, who were last seen in separate areas of Maidstone at around 9pm Saturday had been located.

In a social media post, Kent Police said the two girls were found safe and well and thanked those who helped in the search.
