Here's which events have been cancelled in Kent because of Storm Dennis

As Storm Dennis is set to hit tomorrow, organisers in Kent have cancelled a raft of events.

Heavy rain and wind are expected across the country over the weekend, with travel disruption likely.

Meanwhile, a flood alert is in place for the Lower River Medway.

Maidstone RFC and Tunbridge Wells RFC have decided to cancel their home games this Saturday.

Maidstone Hockey Club have also cancelled their fixture at their home ground against Harlestone Magpies at 11.30am, while the club's four other home fixtures are still going ahead.

The following markets over the weekend has also been closed:

  • Yalding Farmer's Market- Saturday, 10am-1pm

  • Gillingham- Saturday, 9am- 4.30pm.
  • Aylesford Farmer's Market- Sunday, 9.30am-1.30

Scotney Castle has also decided to close during the weekend, meaning a murder mystery trail for children has been cancelled.

The Circus Zyair in The Hop Farm, in Paddock Wood, which was due to open today, has been been postponed until Tuesday.

Over in Sevenoaks, Great Comp Gardens is not going ahead with its Snow Drops Sensation day, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Tonbridge Castle is warning of restricted access over the next two days.

Street Wisdom, a three-hour tour of Tonbridge, starting at the castle on Saturday has been postponed. Its new date has yet to be decided.

In Canterbury, The Kent Museum of Freemasonry is closed for the weekend.
