Taskforce set up to protect historic sites across Kent

By KentOnline reporter

A taskforce has been set up to tackle crime at historic sites across Kent.

Made up of police, staff from Historic England, and managers from a number of the county's heritage sites, the team came together for a meeting at Leeds Castle.

The 2018 Heritage Watch Conference spoke about cases of criminal damage, fire and theft as well as fires and break-ins at historical features in recent years.
