Teenager taken to hospital after incident in Oakwood Road, Maidstone

Police are investigating an assault after a boy had to be taken to hospital.

Officers, Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance crews and paramedics were called to Oakwood Road, Maidstone after reports a youngster was hurt.

The teenage boy was taken to hospital via ambulance for minor injuries.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 6.10pm to Oakwood Park, near the grammar school and Walnut Tree pub, to reports of an assault.

"Ambulance crews attended along with the air ambulance service.

"The patient was treated for a head injury and was taken by road to Tunbridge Wells Hospital."

Enquiries are ongoing.
