Residents of a Maidstone housing development reported seeing police cars outside their homes last night as a woman was arrested on suspicion of theft.

Officers were called to Farleigh Lane, close to the junction with Bosman Close, at 6.15pm on Saturday.

A 56-year-old woman from the town was arrested on suspicion of theft.

She has been bailed, pending further inquiries, until Friday, June 24.
