Maidstone: Hunt for thieves who stole cash, bank cards and tobacco from pensioner after helping him take shopping home

CCTV images have been released in the hunt for thieves who stole cash, bank cards and tobacco from a pensioner after helping him home with his shopping in Maidstone.

Kent Police was called regarding a theft that happened between 1pm and 2pm on September 17 at a private address in James Whatman Way.

The victim, a man in his 80s, was approached by some people he did not know in the town centre who had offered to help him take his shopping home.

They left his address and the victim later discovered cash, bank cards and some tobacco had been stolen.

Following enquiries, officers have identified CCTV footage of a man and a woman who may have information that can assist the investigation.
