Man charged with nine counts of stealing toiletries

A man allegedly stole £4,200 of toiletries from nine shops in Kent.

He is accused of entering four businesses in Maidstone, two in Chatham and stores in Sittingbourne, Tonbridge and Whitstable.

He allegedly stole items worth a combined total of more than £4,200, including toothbrush heads, men’s razors and medication.

The 44-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of the offences on Wednesday and charged with all nine offences the next day.

He was remanded in custody, and was due to appear in court today.
