Maidstone Drivers facing delays on Grovewood Drive North due to faulty traffic lights

Motorists are facing lengthy delays this afternoon due to faulty temporary traffic lights.

Drivers heading along Grovewood Drive North in Maidstone have been left queuing after the lights got stuck on red.

Kent Highways are aware of the problem and tweeted saying: "Maidstone, Grovewood Drive North. Temporary traffic lights near Shepherds Gate Drive are stuck on red.

"An engineer is en route.

"Expect delays in the area."

The system is due to be in place until tomorrow evening whilst work is completed on the carriageway.

A series of road works throughout Bearsted and Grove Green are expected to begin on Monday.
