Two people have been arrested after a car drove the wrong way down a road and hit a number of vehicles.

It happened in Loose Road, Maidstone, shortly before 1.20pm.

Seven police cars were spotted in nearby Sheal's Crescent.

A police spokesman said: "A car had driven the wrong way along Loose Road, Maidstone, at 1.18pm and collided with several vehicles.

"The South East Coast Ambulance Service has also been called, but no serious injuries reported.

"Two people have been arrested."

The vehicles were being recovered at about 2pm, the spokesman added.
