Andre Bent 'murder': Two more men charged with violent disorder after Maidstone stabbing

Two more men have been charged with violent disorder as part of investigations into the suspected murder of a student in Maidstone.

Andre Bent, 21, was fatally stabbed in Jubilee Square, following a well-attended performance by rapper MoStack, real name Montell Daley, at the Gallery in Bank Street in the early hours of August 25.

Before this week, a total of 11 people had been arrested on suspicion of various offences, including a 16-year-old boy accused of Mr Bent's murder.

Then, Rheo Lawrence, 28, of Otley Way in Watford, Hertfordshire, and Ryan Lowe, 21, of Boyton Close in Hornsey, London, were arrested on Monday and later charged with violent disorder in connection with the disturbance.

Both were remanded in custody when they appeared before Medway magistrates today.

They will next appear at the Old Bailey in London on Monday, October 14, along with the murder accused and six others charged with violent disorder.

The other four people arrested as part of the police probe are on bail.
