The Voice 2020 contestant Oli Ross from Maidstone offers virtual singing lessons

A Maidstone singer who made it to the knockouts on the Voice earlier this year is offering online vocal coaching sessions to budding performers.

Olivia Rossiter-Langworthy, whose stage name is Oli Ross, was on team Meghan during her stint on the popular ITV show, first catching the judge's attention with her fiery rendition of Sail by Awolnation during the blind auditions.

Since appearing on the programme, the 22-year-old has remained living in Leeds, where she previously completed a degree at Leeds College of Music.

The former Valley Park School pupil has been working at clothing store All Saints, but, as something more in-line with her long-term career goals, she is now also offering one-to-one virtual singing lessons.

Miss Rossiter-Langworthy can teach a wide range of contemporary styles and techniques, improve your confidence and performance skills, and help find your own unique style.

Several students have already enrolled on the course, with the cost of each 45-minute session dependant on the individual.

The ex-Mandy Ellen Performing Arts pupil can also produce tailored practice packages, recording her own voice and piano for you to sing along to in-between lessons.

One session per week is recommended, delivered over Skype or Zoom.

Miss Rossiter-Langoworthy hopes appearing on the Voice might give other aspiring singers the confidence to be follow their dreams.

She said: "I've been performing since I was 10 and have progressed to doing something professional. I think it will give people a bit of validation that I know what I'm doing and also, if I can do it, they can do it too."

She added: "I know it can be overwhelming and scary, so I just want to encourage people to have fun. I still get nervous - it's a natural human instinct - it's about the way you deal with it. You've got to face your fears."
