Join in Christmas Jumper Day with Save The Children on Friday, December 13

If ever there was a good excuse to wear a decorated Christmas sweater, it's this - the Save the Children annual Christmas Jumper Day.

Across Kent, schools, offices, sports teams, Brownies and Beaver packs - in fact everyone - is invited to ditch their day-to-day dress and don their daftest, most wonderful woolies for the annual Christmas Jumper Day campaign on Friday, December 13.

Since it's launch in 2012, Christmas Jumper Day has raised £21milion for the charity to help build a better future for children in the UK and around the world.

Participants are asked to display their festive knit and donate £2 to Save the Children. Perhaps £1 for each child in a school, nursery or pre-group taking part.

If you haven't yet bought your Christmas clothing - a dedicated range of Christmas jumpers is now available at Argos and Sainsbury's stores where 25% of the sale price will also be donated to the cause. The jumpers range in price from £7 to £14.

Schools who wish to sign their pupils up to take part will receive a free Fundraising Game Plan which is packed with posters, stickers and activities to help make the event a special occasion for youngsters.

Offices or workplaces signing up their teams will be sent a pack containing posters and some suggestions for some fun workplace-based fundraising while anyone wishing to join with family and friends can apply for a free pack that is suitable for taking part at home.
