Passengers have been warned of disruption to train services due to a fire near the track.
Delays are expected between Swanley and Maidstone East railway stations until 3pm.
There was a small fire next to the track near Otford at around 8am which caused damage to the electric third rail.
While workers repair the damage, trains running through Sevenoaks towards Maidstone may be cancelled or delayed.
Response staff are currently on site, and the line between Swanley and Maidstone East is expected to be blocked until at least 1.30pm.
The line from Ashford and Maidstone towards Swanley will be closed from 11.30am.
Services running from London Victoria to Ashford International via Maidstone East will be diverted via Paddock Wood and Headcorn.

Trains between London Charing Cross and Maidstone East are suspended.
Rail replacement buses are currently running from Swanley to Maidstone East and Ashford International.
Southeastern said: “There has been a report of an issue with the electric third rail in this area. Network Rail's engineers are attending as quickly as possible to carry out a detailed inspection.
“Until this is done, trains have been stopped from running in the affected direction. This is a necessary safety precaution.
“You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today.
“Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.”
