A woman is set to appear before magistrates after being charged with plotting to take drugs and mobile phones into a Kent prison.

Kuljit Kaur, from London, was arrested on March 29 and was charged on Thursday with conspiring to take cannabis and mobile phones into HMP Maidstone between February 15 and March 2.

Kaur, of Roman Road, East Ham, will appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 11.
