Maidstone woman dies in hospital after Walderslade crash

An elderly woman has died in hospital following a crash.

An 85-year-old from Maidstone passed away on Friday, October 19 - almost a week after the crash on the previous Sunday.

Police are now appealing for information after receiving notification that she died from the coroner yesterday.

The crash, involving a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a white Seat Ibiza, happened at the junction of Impton Lane and Walderslade Woods at around 6.15pm.

Both the woman and a passenger in the Corsa were taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries that were originally not thought to be life threatening.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident.

They are particularly keen to see dash cam footage showing either of the vehicles driving in the area at the time of the collision.
