Delano Sam-Yorke is back at Maidstone - signing a one-year deal at the Gallagher.
The striker, 28, scored three goals in eight games on loan from Woking, becoming a big crowd favourite as United started their push for safety.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "I am very pleased to get this deal done. After the season ended we made contact and he was keen to come back.
"At the time the loan ended, we were keen to keep him but he went back to Woking and carried on his good form with them.
"He was a big part of turning us round when we started out on that run and it was disappointing to lose him at that time.
"I am looking forward to having him here for pre-season and getting a full season out of him too.”
Sam-Yorke, who scored against Maidstone at the end of March, is thrilled to be back.
He said: "After my loan finished this was always a club I wanted to come to back to.
"I enjoyed my time here – all the lads, management and fans were great and I am happy to be back."
