Larkfield & New Hythe and Whitstable progressed to the Kent Senior Trophy final on Saturday.

The visitors went ahead in the first half at Honey Lane through experienced winger Harrison Carnegie’s penalty, only for defender Sam Flisher to grab a late leveller for Kevin Stevens’ side as it ended 1-1 in normal time.

But it was Larkfield & New Hythe who held their nerve in front of a crowd of 153 to secure a 7-6 victory on penalties.

They will come up against Jamie Coyle’s Oystermen who earned a 3-0 success at Stansfeld, avenging their 1-0 Southern Counties East League Premier Division defeat to them in September.
