Tonbridge AC's Jamie Bryant raised the bar at Sunday's Larkfield 10k.
Bryant led a field of 508 finishers through a two-lap course around East Malling and Ditton in 32min21sec – a new personal best.
Istead and Ifield's Ed Bovingdon was second, 20 seconds behind, and Tunbridge Wells' Billy Hobbs completed the top three in 33.07.
Helen Gaunt made it a Tonbridge double with victory in the women's race and 47th place overall with 39.01.
Clubmate Claire Day was second in the women's event (39.29) and Maria Heslop ensured a Tonbridge lockout with third in 39.33.
Lee Cooper led the home contingent with eighth for Larkfield AC in 35.15.
In the 5k race James Carragher (19.52), Ethan Healy-Daly (21.36) and Billy Nicholls (23.28) were the men's top three.
Susan Mallins was the quickest woman over 5k. Her 29.56 gave her victory over Paddock Wood's Jane Pilbeam (30.43) and Claire Mackley (33.50).
