Joan Luque has quit Maidstone to sign for National League newboys Weymouth.

The 28-year-old joined the Stones initially for a month, scoring on his debut against Hemel Hempstead in October.

He was left out of the squad for Maidstone's National League South clash with Braintree on Tuesday night after Weymouth made an approach.

Luque had scored in his final two Maidstone matches, against Dorking Wanderers and Eastbourne.

He joined the Stones after leaving Dagenham. Luque had joined Lincoln City after previously impressing for non-league Heybridge Swifts.

Luque is available for Weymouth's National League clash with Hartlepool on Saturday.
