Maidstone’s latest signing is looking forward to learning from manager George Elokobi.
Left-back Leo Hamblin has joined from Weymouth and, playing in the same position as Elokobi, he can only benefit from the ex-Wolves No.3’s experience in the game.
“I just want to learn from him and absorb all the information he’s got to give and improve my game for myself and for the team I’m playing for,” said Hamblin, 22.
“I want to keep improving, progressing day in, day out, and, most importantly, win football matches.”
Hamblin came through the youth ranks at Woking, making 10 first-team appearances for the National League club, before joining Weymouth.
He spent two years with the Terras, playing more than 75 times, including an impressive display in a 0-0 draw at the Gallagher Stadium in April.
It’s not yet clear whether Hamblin will have a clear run at the left-back slot.
Ben Brookes, one of last season’s star men, has been offered a new contract but is yet to make an announcement on his future, while Harry Kyprianou has been invited back for pre-season after missing virtually the entire campaign with a foot injury.
