Maidstone United sign former Aldershot Town player Matt McClure

Maidstone boss John Still has completed the signing of Matt McClure.

The 27-year-old left Aldershot at the end of the last campaign and has featured in pre-season for Stones.

But they were unable to conclude a deal until now, with McClure in the squad for the visit of Slough on Saturday.

McClure, a former Northern Ireland under-21 international, started his career with Wycombe and also played under Still at Dagenham.

He made more than 100 appearances for Aldershot but departed in the summer after they finished in the bottom four of the National League.
