Maidstone United sign former loanee Jephte Tanga on a permanent deal after ex-Leyton Orient winger leaves Ebbsfleet

Tanga enjoyed an impressive spell at the Gallagher on loan from Leyton Orient in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

His form under George Elokobi alerted Ebbsfleet, who snapped up the youngster after his contract at Brisbane Road expired.

He made 19 appearances as the Fleet were relegated from the National League last season but is now back with Maidstone - this time on a permanent deal.

“I can’t wait,” said Tanga. “I’m ready to go now.

“I’m just excited to see what we can do next season and challenge.

“The fans welcomed me really well last time I came here, so I’m just excited to play in front of them again and get the crowd off their feet.”

It’s been a busy week of comings and goings at the Gallagher.

Tanga is the third new arrival in three days, joining full-backs David Sesay and Leo Hamblin at the club.

Riley Court and Lenny Holden have signed new deals, while Temi Eweka and Aaron Blair have departed for National League Eastleigh.
