A motorist suffered head and arm injuries following an altercation with another driver on the roadside.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was driving along Western Road, Borough Green at around 1pm on Friday.
An altercation happened involving another driver who is then alleged to have struck the victim with an implement after both parties got out of their vehicles.
The victim suffered cuts to his head and an arm injury, and later attended a local hospital for medical attention.
A 51-year-old man from West Kingsdown was arrested on the same day on suspicion of assault.
He has been bailed to return to the police station on March 29, pending further investigation.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances with officers checking available CCTV in the area.
